Control Expert sent to LA

ana.jpg gets:
SP Roy Halladay 95

chc.jpg gets:
SP Ubaldo Jiminez 94
2B Phillip Baird 76/83

The Cubs GM Offseason had this to say about trading Halladay, "Sending Halladay off to a contender, getting younger and a little cheaper if Ubaldo sticks around, though he could be showcased in the NL for a later trade, given the state of things. Pick up a spec as well, to help the rebuild."

Lester Leaves Baltimore

was.jpg trade

SP Troy Kress (62/85)
Washington Nationals 3rd round draft pick 2017

bal.jpg trade

SP Jon Lester (93)

The Nationals GM Nats had said this about getting Lester, "From the way he pitched this year Dan Haren will certainly be either traded soon or not brought back this year, he is producing horribly for me. ENTER JON LESTER, he is gonna be 4th/5th SP, with Haren gone and potentially Nolasco gone, and lightning could strike twice with another O's pitcher Mike Wright struggling in WASH. I have Meija, Syndegaard, Waters, Telesco and most likely none of them will move, so even though I lose Kress I have more then enough replacements for him."

Orioles looking to aquire BJ Upton

The Orioles have offered Outfielder B.J. Upton a 2yr 1 Million dollar deal. B.J. started the season on the Dodgers triple A team and was released in mid-April. Since then he went to Japan and has had some success there.
So far in 2016 the 31 year old Upton has a .313 batting average with 11 HRs and 51 RBIs. I see B.J. as a replacement outfielder in the Minors as apart of the O's.

Chicago goes after Montero

On Sunday the Chicago Cubs went after Catcher Miguel Montero. Miguel was offered a 1yr 450K deal with the Cubs. Miguel May be looking at the everyday job as apart of the Cubs since the Cubs traded there former catcher Steve Clevenger to Houston.
The 32 year old Montero hasn't played in the Majors since 2014 as a Ranger. He has been playing in the Independent leagues for the past two years playing in Japan, Front, and the Dominican Republic. In his time on the Indpendents Montero batted .313 with 78 RBIs and 15 HRs in 104 games.

My Take: Good trade for both teams

NL CY Young: Possible Takers

SFG SP Brett Anderson- Brett is possibly the best Starter in all of BMJ, he has 109 K's, with a 1.79 ERA and a 6-2 record. Brett has won two CY Youngs since 2012, winning the 2012 and 2014 CY Youngs. Brett is one of the top contenders at the time for the CY Young.

COL SP Chien-Ming Wang- The Righty from Taiwan had been on his last legs at the end of 2014 pitching in only 26.1 Innings with a 2.42 ERA. But then in the 2014-15 offseason he was trade with Andrew Bailey to Colorado. This led him to an amazing career year, and this year will be no different as he is 5-0 in 6 games with a 1.17 ERA and 43 K's.

ATL SP Shelby Miller- Shelby is the top Starter in Atlanta having an 8-1 record with a 2.28 ERA and 91 K's. Shelby started 2016 with a bang pitching a No Hitter in May. In 11 starts in 2016 Shelby has given up more then 2 runs only 3 times against the Phillies, Mets, and Marlins. If he keeps giving up 2 Earned runs in games than we may see a 20 game and CY Young winner in Atlanta.

Expansion Cities

At the end of 2016 there will be an Expansion, adding two teams to BMJ. The Cities are being chosen by the BMJ Council and the commissioners. Our BMJ Insidser CPB caught up with one of the commisioners (Nwuhockey) and he gave us insight on the possible cities for expansion. The possible cities are, Calgary, Orlando, or Santa Ana. I was told by Nwuhockey that the cities will most likely be Orlando and Santa Ana. Adding these teams will put a 3rd team in Florida and a 6th team in California.

Mccutchen Out of Cleveland?

It was reported yesterday that the Cleveland Indians want to deal Center Fielder Andrew Mccutchen. This season Andrew is hitting .294 with 25 RBIs and 7 HRs. Andrew has been apart of Cleveland since 2015 when he was traded from Detroit for 2B Kolten Wong and SP Jake Washington. The teams I think will be after Mccutchen are, the Phillies, Dodgers, Giants, and Athletics.
As of right now I have been told the Indians GM that the Nationals, Marlins, and Dodgers have shown interest in Mccutchen.

MiamiMike had this too say about the trade, "Giving up 2 very good prospects and getting back all peaked players. I know Bradley and Gould are not (that) good vitals wise anyway, but they can help for now and until my SP farm is ready and after maybe anchor my bullpin. and Guerrero will be better than Hicks I am sure, but Hicks can play now and wanted some speed in the OF. The 2nd rounder I think evened things out a bit, cause I think this is just a bit of quantity for quality the MIA specs being quality. I think SEA gains 2 very good specs that he can build his team around and look for the future. Good trade and best of luck."

White Sox Rebuild

It was reported at 4:57 PM EST that the White Sox will be going through a full rebuild.
The White Sox have a record of 27-28 and hold the spot as 2nd place in the AL West 11.0 Games behind the first place Tigers. In 2015 the Sox tried to make a surprising run for a playoff spot but they were cut off when they faced and lost to the Angels in the Wild Card Game.

2B Reese Havens (83) Age: 29 Salary: $3 million through 2016

The Dodgers GM FMGM had this to say "Continuing with our youth movement, we trade our final offensive veteran star in Kinsler for a much needed young SP in Pineda who comes with a favorable contract as well as Havens who helps give us a temporary replacement for Kinsler until hopefully Carlson develops into the starting role."

Washington Trades there 1st round Pick

was.jpg trades

SP Matthew Saxon 73/87 (21st pick in draft, first round pick of the Washington Nationals)

bal.jpg  trades

CF Gustavo Cabrera 85/91
2B Delino DeShields 85/90
SP Mike Wright 92

"I know this is a drastic trade that can change the dynamics of my team and potentially make it either stronger or weaker, I am well aware of taking the consequences that come off with it.
With this trade I replace Solis with Wright, I get a potential star CF and a potential star IF in Delfino DeShields."  This statement was said by the Nats GM.

My Take on the Trade: I think this was a good trade for both teams because, Baltimore gets a great young starter along with a good prospect in Matthew Saxon, and the Nats get a replacement for Solis and two young hitters with loads of potential.

San Diego Trades Five Draft Picks Approve or Veto?

kc.jpg Trades:

sdp.jpg Trades:
CF: G. Davis (77/79) = 24 - 41,800 - Arbitration - 2019

sdp.jpg 3rd Round Pick (18)
sdp.jpg 4th Round Pick (18)
sdp.jpg 5th Round Pick (18)
sdp.jpg 6th Round Pick (18)

This trade is yet to be approved or vetoed by any commissioner but I think this is a bad trade for San Diego. There trading there 2-6 picks in the Draft which I still think is a bad trade for San Diego, but to add to the picks the Padres are trading a good reliever in Wiser and a decent fielder with good speed in Davis.

Very fair deal I think the 10 mil will be useful to him also. Good trade." This was said by Miami's GM Mike.

2016 BMJ Draft Pre-Picks

So Far these Prospects have been chosen.

1. CLE Peter Mills SP 82/97

In Texas Tech Mills had the best stats of anyone in the draft. Mills had 1.30 ERA in his college life with a 18-2 record and 246 Ks. Peter has a great future on Cleveland and will definitely be a Superstar.

2. PIT Matt Siciliano SP 64/98

Matt is one of the smartest guys in the because he skipped 8th grade and went directly to high school at 13. In his 4 years in High School and 2 in College he racked up a 2.59 ERA with a 46-16 record and 689 Ks. Matt has the potential to lead a team to the Playoffs.

3. MIA Matthieu Farwell 2B 80/96

Matthieu is the best batter in the draft. in 4 years at high school and 2 years at Mississippi State College Matt batted an astounding .456 with 28 HRs and 271 RBIs.

Napoli and Lester are available

It was said by KirbyPuckett34 that starting pitcher Jon Lester and catcher Mike Napoli were open to being traded.
Napoli is currently playing back-up for Matt Wieters and is making 16 million until the end of the season. It has currently been reported that Napoli would be looking for a 10.5 million dollar contract for 4years.
Lester is coming off a pretty bad 2015 going 10-14 with a 4.96 ERA with 173 strikeouts. Lester is making 10.1 million until the end of the 2017 season. Lester is 32 and hasn't had a sub 4 ERA since 2012 when he went 20-4 at the age of 28. I don't think Lester has a good season left, maybe on the right team he could be league average but that's pretty much it.

Cleveland is the only team that has shown any interest in Lester as said by Kirby. As of right now no team has interest in Napoli.
