The Marlins GM said this about the trade "While I love Lomo a lot, I just think it was the right time to part ways. He had never lived up to his vitals for me and I still get 3 good specs for him."
I don't think this was I good trade for the Giants because, San Fran stands no chance the NL West so trading your first pick is not a good idea. Even if it was for Logan Morrison.
