 Kirby Puckett said this post-trade, "I really like Kress, and Dyer but when I get a chance to add Hicks a solid CF after trading him off last season makes me happy. Getting another reliever like Parnell was a solid move by me too again add another good reliever. So overall I really like this trade. The 2nd rounder was a pick I definantly had to add to make this trade work but trading another pick in the 3rd was neccessary to add Parnell."
