Boston GM Chuck came out with this statement about the trade, "I hate giving up Weir and Ishida, who is gonna be a really great RP once he gets on track there, but Boxberger is an rare talent at the end of the pen. Even though Boxberger is only signed thruough the end of the season, Boston is one of the few teams that will be able to afford to resign him at the $15m or so per season he wants at the end of the year. Lindbloom is a filler arm in the pen, and DeJesus is a salary dump who we are likely to buy out."
